Yarker abandoned railroad bridge View of the dam in Colebrook. The Napanee River is almost dried out. This water is from draining Third and Fourth Depot Lakes 23 km. due north, upstream, otherwise there would be no flow. Welcome to Moscow Ontario.

Camden SS No. 9, an old one room school. S.S. stands for School Sections which generally served a 2 mile radius. Each had it's own school board consisting of 3 local citizens. Remnants of old mill at Camden East. Many burned down, some had their mortar turn to sand. There was a carriage shop (manufacturer) on this side of the river where I am standing, and a woolen mill beside the dam on the far side and a flour mill to the right of it in 1878. Camden Lake, just a bit too deep to be a marsh. There are few of these old little latticed sheds left. Farmers used to place their large cans of milk in them for pick up. They provided shade and a breeze at the same time. Camden East Centenial Park. It has a sandy beach, boat launch, acres of shaded lawns, change houses, wash rooms, a pavilion and picnic tables.

Creek. Cataraqui Trail looking west near Camden East. This was originally the Napanee Tamworth and Quebec Railway (NT&Q) built in 1879, leased to the Bay of Quinte Railway (BQ), ran to Harrowsmith in 1889 to link to the K&P railway and on to Sydenham in 1893 to access the mica mines. It was taken over by the former Canadian Northern Railway (CNoR) in 1910 and run to Ottawa in 1912 - 1914. The tracks were removed in the early 1990's. . Farmer's bridge across the Napanee River. This is called a pony truss bridge because it is held up only by the railings. Water falls in Violet. There was a saw mill on each side of the river here in 1878. There is little evidence of them now. On the way to Niagara Falls
