Excellent selection of books in Chinese and English (English books are on the basement floor), and a cafe upstairs that serves a drink unique to Taiwan: a green tea covered with a top layer of sour cream - 綠蓋茶 - (it's better than it sounds)

Always open to the parents n kids for free reading. Functioning as a public library for most parents. When the heat hits the city, it offers cozy corners with books to your reach!

Great bookstore near university , big English selection. Some people stay there and read.

Bookstore with quite a large selection, a nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Offers a discount for NTU students (but sadly not other universities).

They have a large collection of books and the atmosphere is very good for going through some of the books. They may not have the best prices but the service and large collection are worth their charge.
