5 stars is deserved for the value alone. We had just had Sushi Masuda, a $250 each for lunch/dinner with 2 Michelin Stars, the day before, and then went to Manten for $60 each the next night. Maybe the decor wasn't as nice and the staff weren't as attentive, but the experience was still great. We felt more relaxed, there were more customers around us simply because the space is bigger. And the sushi was honestly just as good. Granted, I had the best piece of fish I've ever had at Masuda, but Manten put out a great omakase. It's pretty easy to find a couple floors underground in the train station. The clam soup was killer, the beer was tasty, and the chef was very kind and quick with his knife. We are fast eaters, so he noticed and was always ready with another piece. Make a reservation ahead of time.

Great omakase for reasonable price - 6000 yen ; some adventurous pieces were included in the set meal - favourite was the fatty tuna, seared mackerel and uni... the tofu was a great surprise with its exceedingly silky, creamy and rich soybean flavour.

Excellent preparation and use of seasonal ingredients. Classic way of enjoying sushi at a reasonable price range. Make sure to call ahead for reservations.

Every time I came here, I could be satisfied. Reasonable price and good quality. It is better to make a reservation before you go.
