After few months I have been to SongHay with my family. I had some good memories of visiting this restaurant since my childhood. During my last visit few months ago I came to know that the ownership has been changed and the ownership has been changed, they no longer served port, I had their special double happiness soup and few other dishes. Yesterday I took my daughter and wife and thoroughly disappointed with the food. We ordered Double happiness soup and and their signature Double happiness chow mien and crispy chicken. the double happiness soup was not like it used to be before, in fact the last time I had few months ago was better. But yesterday I find the shrimps were smelling and the shrimps/prawns used in chow mein was smelling too. The crispy chicken was very spicy I mean very spicy, very very hot. The chef has used generously ginger in all the dishes, may be to kill the smell of prawn s that was either rotten or getting to rot.
So friends If you plan to visit this food joint please keep this in mind and better to avoid prawn/shrimp dishes. In fact the food has deteriorated and started to go down . Avoid if you can this restaurant, good for having beer may be not for food anymore
