Several years ago I took foreign business partners for local Taiwanese food and they enjoyed a lot. The lady owner was friendly as I recall. I have seen some people giving this restaurant an unfair comment... and I do hope visitors won't be intimidated by those comments. This place definitely gave a very good impression for my business partner and they even said they would definitely come back for food.

I'm not Taiwanese, I'm Hongkonger. And my friend lived in Tianmu over 5 years. He recommend this restaurant to us.
Important to me: Famous actor Takeshi Kaneshiro (金城武) is also the customer here. OMG, I love him so much.
Haha, not the only reason I love here. But also the superb tasty food and lovely vintage place, especially the surprisingly cheap price (compared to HK).
I’ve been here over 20 times, every time I bought different friends here, they left with smiley face and took a name card quietly before leaving.
It’s really a good place to buy friends big dinner and foot the bill.

Located in a traditional 三合院 vintage decor, food is traditional very delicious. Highly recommended.

I have just come to Taiwan and I live in Taipei, Tianmu. I checked for a place where I can drink andw get some traditional Taiwan food. I came to this establishment with my colleague as he decided to go somewhere for food, however we only took 6 Taiwan Golden beers and one plate of peanuts. The peanuts were 50NT$.
After we finished I asked for the bill which was 700NT$ and I was shocked by the price, so I asked how much do you charge for a single beer. The lady owner told me 100NT$ per bottle. I told her that the charge was expensive compared to other outlets and she said that this is restaurant, so expect to be charged more.
I think its because we are not Taiwanese and thus charges more. She was not friendly and her I attitude was very bad to me as a customer . There was even a 10% service charge, which is shameful for such a basic establishment and this does not occur in similar Taiwan restaurants. I was really disappointed by the treatment we received when we left from the restaurant and would not return. If you are a foreigner I suggest you avoid.
