I think there are times when a change of management is necessary and a fresh start is needed. I experienced so many barriers when trying to access this program with a referral from a very reputable doctor. never have I felt so small and insignificant from a manager of a program that is for persons experiencing mental health difficulties. It seems the weakest in society are often treated worse by those in charge than people one would meet on the street. Luckily I found a place elsewhere.

I've been a member of Creative Works Studio since 2011/2012. I concern it a second home. It's a beautiful place to connect with others, full of support from other members and staff, as well as a safe place to be creative.

I stopped by last month just to take a look. I lived in this area once and was intrigued by both its location and the whole art as therapy concept. As someone whose personal journey includes finding the art/therarpy path on my own I was curious about this place. It seems that I came at the wrong time as a meeting was in process and my request (albeit unannounced) for a tour caused some consternation. However, I will return on Dec 3rd to see the art exhibit as, for whatever reason, despite its dreary entrance way and not very happy to see me staff, I feel there is something of value here. I hope (this in response to reviewer #1) that you tried again. No, my experience was not welcoming either ( I was just told that tours are at the end of the month--though I cannot find this information on the website) but having worked for a charity I know how harried and difficult it can be to dance every day on the edge. And in all fairness,anyone can have a bad day. I look forward to a second attempt and I hope you gave it another chance also.
