The chef is master of his house. Great southern cooking. Open for brunch as well, and recommended. Get a reservation, they are often fully booked.

I see a lot of good reviews on here so I don't know what happened but I have never been to a restaurant where the wait staff literally never said a word to us in a half an hour of sitting down. We were seated, it was obvious that the place was under staffed but we were never offered water, a drink and never even spoken to. The waiter walked by us 20 times, bussing tables, collecting bills and never once stopped to say "can I get you a drink?." The only reason we lasted a half hour was because we lost track of time chatting with the people beside us who had been there an hour and just gotten their drink and first appetizer. We got up and left and still not a word from the staff. What a joke. I'd give this place zero stars but they force you to give one.

I had the grilled catfish, which was excellent. My sweetie had the scallops and grits. They were good overall, but the grits were straight up weird (she is from the south, and we were just in KT and TN last week so we have a good frame of reference). The staff were great, the chef is super interesting and seems to be trying exciting stuff. The collards were authentic and delicious.

Really good food with a southern flare. And any place that can cook excellent catfish is a place I'll be back to over and over and over again.

We had an amazing time at Roux. The food was outstanding, as was the service. The iced tea was out of this world. We will definitely be returning for brunch!
