Not bad food but terrible service. We visited mid week when barely anyone was in there and it took a long time for the food to get served. The food although not bad, wasn't anything special for such a large price tag.

Someone else was paying so I can't really comment on value but the food and service were great. Dinner on a Saturday night and they keep the table density good so you aren't packed in but it's busy enough to have some atmosphere. Really enjoyed the back pudding and tongue.

Excellent, locally sourced, ethical food with top notch service and quality wine. Well worth it.

Nice atmosphere, unpretentious yet good quality. Started with a beetroot salad with creamy goat's cheese, followed by blue mackerel with a cauliflower puree and hazelnuts. Beetroot was beautifully cooked three ways with a fantastically mild cheese, mackerel (not for the fish-averse) was perfectly accompanied with the smoothness of a cauliflower puree and roasted hazelnuts to counter the intense flavours of the fish. An orange rind polenta cake with a fromage blanc mousse finished the night well, but couldn't hold a candle to the quality of the savoury dishes. Moderately priced for the quality, but not the best of value.
Just remember to buy some wine beforehand, as they are currently waiting on a licence.
