Food and service second to none. Our 3rd visit to the restaurant when visiting from Newcastle. I can honestly say this is the best in York! We’re on our 3rd visit and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you to All at the Raj amazing food, great prices and friendly staff. See you again on our next trip to York x

Lovely well good cooked food and welcoming service. We have eaten here on numerous occasions. Best indians outside in York.

Would highly recommend avoiding delivery due to ordering and being told the wait would be one hour which was fine but 2 hours and 15 minutes later when our food turned up cold, greasy and tasteless we made a complaint to the driver. Heard nothing back from the restaurant, did not eat the food, bad customer service bad food. thank you very much.

I go to Raj on a regular basis every couple of months, with fantastic service. Tonight I had a few problems which was quickly resolved with my curry been taken off the bill and a complimentary drink at the end. 1 member of staff definitely went out of his way to get the problem sorted quickly as possible, which he got a very good tip for his customer service. A little disappointed with tonight but in all still a very good place to eat out! 😀👌

Beware of asking for spicy popadoms! £3.60 and I got two plain and smaller popadoms and the spice tray. I hardly used the spice tray!
I complained, as I've never ever been charged for the spice tray anywhere ever! It might seem a small amount, but I should have been told so I had the choice. I only found out when I got the bill.
Otherwise the food I had was good, but not very good, staff kept hovering which was annoying. I would have visited again tomorrow night, but not now or ever again. I won't recommend you either.
