Worst experience ever. I took my child in and asked how much it was to cut her hair short (I told them how much shorter right then) and got a quote for 16. It seemed fair so we went for it. My child just washed her hair at home yesterday so they simply cut it then washed and blew dried it. Afterwards, when I went over to pay, I was asked to pay 25. I asked why. They claimed if they cut it a bit short, it should be 16. but they cut it shorter than "a bit" so it was 25 pounds. That was ridiculous! As a customer, I expect to pay what I was told, not a 60% raise afterwards! I told them so. Then they claimed "as they also washed and blow dried it, it is 25". Well, if that is the case, they should have told us "hey btw, if we do this, it is extra 9 pounds" before they washed and blow dried, right?

I went Michael Jane for a haircut about 6 months ago. I had to wait for an hour since they overbooked. I thought that was one-off so went back again last week. I was told they were running late so it would be 15 minutes delay. It ended that after 45 minutes the hairdresser who was supposed to cut my hair was still doing other customer and there was no sign of finishing it. So I cancelled my appoitnment and walked off. I will never gp back to this salon. So not professional and tottaly waste of time.

I'm sorry for being the party spoiler here but I did my hair "laser" treatment here last year and it doesn't do any changes for me. The course lasted for about a year, 6 sessions (+1 extra due to my complaint) on 3 areas, including Hollywood, underarms and belly line. It did absolutely NOTHING for my hair. The hair still grow back with the same thickness!!! Now I know Shiv (the lady who did my treatment) will start saying "all people's hair are different etc" but I can guarantee you, this place does not do laser treatment as advertised. It is IPL hair removal. The "laser" they did was so painful, which is what IPL machine do as I have done that before, and IPL is not effective at all!!! Now the reason why I said that, because I did the REAL laser treatment for my legs elsewhere, a place near Camden Town (£124 for the full legs with 6 treatments!!!!). They offer such excellent service and even when I did only 3 sessions with them in the end (due to personal business I had to cancel the last 3 sessions, which they were so kindly offer my money back for those remaining sessions), the hair on my legs are now so thin and you can barely see them. I don't bother to shave them at all anymore, where as before, they were as thick as my pubes hair (I know, I'm very hairy) and I had to shave them everywhere I go. I wouldn't dare to walk out in a short during the summer! The best thing is because the machine they used was REAL LASER MACHINE and that's why it didn't hurt me one bit. The highest setting was 12 and the lady who did the treatment for me (who was very kind) and put it up to 10 as my request (I have Asian skin with light skin tone and black hair). Honestly, I cannot recommend them enough. Where as with Michael Jane, the hair on my belly line, my bikini and my underarms REMAIN THE SAME! I also had a little trouble at first with Shiv, as I felt the treatment was so rushed! It is in a very small dodgy room that can only fit one treatment bed in there. You'd have to clean yourself then she would start the treatment. The whole 3 areas took less than 15 minutes to do. I wasn't satisfied and felt really rushed, so I complaint and was given an extra session. Even with that 1 extra session, the hair still remain the same length and thickness. I can provide pictures as proof. AND I paid £220 for it. I found this place via a Groupon deal, as I assumed others did too. I didn't have a good experience here, and needless to say, I will never return. I heard good things about the salon, maybe that is the one thing that is worth going for. Otherwise, save your money on this "laser" treatment.

Terrible! Don't go there! I supposed to have hair treatment at Michael Jane, the junior girl does not know how to shampoo hair, the steamer does not work and the water from steamer fell on my back, almost burnt me! When it comes to brow dry, the girl burnt my ears a few times! I had to tell her to stop!
The staff should not be touching customers' hair at all! She is clearly not trained!
When I complaint to receptionist, they insisted to charge me, I fell totally stress out afterward, and will NEVER EVER go there again!

I was recommended by a Friend to try the Laser Hair removal Treatment at Michael Jane. I was a bit reluctant due to my previous experience with Laser Hair removal. I went in for a Patch test , which went extremely well. The Therapist was very informative , friendly & professional. Shiv also made me feel very comfortable during the Treatment. After a few sessions I noticed a significant reduction in the hair growth . Overall a very pleasant and Affordable experience.
Would highly recommend it.
