We ordered two cocktails - we weren't given time to drink them though. Service should be so paced as to meet the needs of the diners not the kitchen. Placing the order does not mean 'bring food now'. The wine arrived and was poured - I had two sips of my cocktail at this point.

The menu is disappointing; a confused sharing plates affair, for which the table isn't big enough to accommodate the six or so dishes ordered. Now the table is a cluttered mess with additional plates, boards and bowls arriving. The leeks we ordered were full of grit - not washed properly. We pointed this out but we were still charged.

I went to this place a couple of years ago and it was great. It's gone down hill badly.

I came armed with a 25% food voucher ready to be wowed. I was expecting trendy and loud but was pleasantly surprised with the quiet and mellow atmosphere. I did come on the Wednesday night though and apparently their downstairs bar is only open on Friday and Saturday. We chose 2-3 tapas-sized dishes to share between two and the Green Fries to go with it. Unfortunately, service was slow for the entire evening, our food was lukewarm at best and the fries came right at the end when we had already finished the rest. I would recommend the sumac and chipotle squid and the butter fried chicken. The green fries tasted of minted peas. I was tempted to get dessert simply because of the rum element, but the rum was absent in the salted rum caramel that covered the vanilla and raisin ice cream with filo. There was too much filo as well leaving a dry and ashy texture in the mouth.

A brisk walk Columbia flower market, a great place for a Sunday brunch.
Where in London do you get filter coffees for a 2£ with refills? And free sparkling water.
Great ambience and reasonably priced food menu.
Also very helpful attentive staff despite the a tad slow service.. Definitely will return.

We'd wanted to visit for ages and finally made it for brunch.

Although we didn't have a reservation (a big no no for a Sunday), we were informed of a 30min wait and soon after lingering by the door we were offering a seat at the bar where we had a couple of flat whites.

Once properly seated I picked items across the menu including French toast, bacon and scrambled eggs - I was hungry!

Everything was cooked perfectly and peeking over the bar into the kitchen you can clearly see the chefs lovingly preparing every dish.

Had a great experience and because we were realistic about a wait during the busy brunch period we weren't fussed about a very modest wait during when we were politely kept updated every few minutes.

Excellent food, service and well situated for a nice walk along Columbia Road Flower Market after.
