Delicious food. Chef went out of his way to accommodate the food allergies of one of our group. Friendly, helpful staff.

Only had a pint after mooring up on the canal, but couldn't believe how off-hand one member of staff was to the couple ordering food in front of us. Second staff member seemed very nice however. I won't be coming back to eat - average sort of chain pub.

After booking for 2:30 , arrived 2:20 ! Seated at our table by a woman with a face like a smacked arse ( stoke saying) a welcome smile would of been nice!
Meal ordered we were waiting an hour to be served ! We had to chase the meal up! Not one person came over and explained the wait ! Even in sizzler you are informed, and offered a complimentary desert !
The beef Sunday lunch was fatty rubbery, people with faulse teeth avoid at all costs!
Not worth the money we paid! I suggest the staff go to the ramblers retreat in Alton stoke on Trent ! Beautiful locally sourced decent food!

Food served at lunch time was warm to a
point. Cheese on the nanchoes was cooling. Dish didn't come with guacamole and salsa in side dish. Other family diners was okay but again more on cool side than warm. Waitress was friendly. The George is part of a chain and uses their menu. Setting is beautiful however. You pay £2 for car park which is refundable with your meal.
