I booked my family here and used my credit card as payment. First of all, my family loved the location and the rooms. However, a few days before their visit, I received a notification from my bank that I was charged EUR98.10 from this hotel. I e-mailed the hotel. They didn't respond. Had to follow up before they did. Then they said they couldn't do anything without seeing the bank receipt. So I waited for my account statement (for actual posting) and saw that it was indeed them who charged me and reversed it the next day. However, because of currency differences, I incurred a loss of ~USD15. Minimal but this is the ONLY hotel where I've experienced mishandling of my account. I sent them an email with a screenshot of my bank statement showing the transactions. They didn't bother to get back to me, provide an explanation or at the very least apologize. Since they couldn't validate (or admit) early on about the charging, I had to block my card for fear of compromise.

We’ve just experienced some unpleasant circumstances in your hotel, 10 mins ago.
It is our first night in your hotel. We checked in around 22:20, and smell something bad in our room when we check in. At first we thought opening the window will help, but the smell become worse when we were about to go for sleep.
We asked for help, a staff member came and help. He made sure that the smell came from the disable restroom.
Then we decide to leave the hotel, and went to the front desk, ask for the refund for the first night. But another staff member, who refused to give us his name, said he cannot do it, because he is not responsible for the smell!
‘I cannot give you refund because I’m not responsible for the smell’
This is what he said.
And even worse, this staff member, didn’t apologize for the disgusting smell if hotel room, even once!
So we have to leave the hotel at 2:30am, with the contact email, and the anger and disappointment.

Staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. It's in a safe part of Madrid, and I felt comfortable coming at going at night. The beds were very comfortable and the view from the rooms over the calle is beautiful. Highly recommend!

This is a hidden gem! Best possible location to enjoy Madrid. Newly renovated. Rivals most 5 star hotels in facilities and decor at super affordable price. Staff is extra friendly and always willing to help. Will go back in a heartbeat.
