It's a two star hotel which feels like a three star hotel. Great price, the rooms were clean and surprisingly light with high ceilings, and we were lucky to get a room overlooking the square in the front. The stairs coming up to the lobby are a climb- it's just one floor up, but it's more like a floor and a half by American standards. If you have heavy bags my advice is to ask your taxi driver to carry them up for some extra cash. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Location is fantastic- it's a huge difference to have a hotel close by to recover mid-day from the heat when you are wandering in the middle of the town. Two minutes walk to San Benito train station, less than ten to Trindade, fifteen to the Douro riverside in Ribeira.
Would definitely stay again.

Good value and great location. €40ish per night, excellent location. Located in a main square, a five minute walk to the bridge. Quiet.
