Great place, great service, good food and great daily selection of fresh fish and crustaceans. Owners Pereira and Dionisio are great guys and run the place smoothly.
Newcomers might find the place a bit claustrophobic due to a lack of windows.

This place tried to cheat me. I received an itemized bill where the total was obviously about twice as much as the sum of the individual items. I told the waiter it was wrong and he added it up again in front of me, getting a different but similarly high number. I said I would pull up my phone's calculator to assist with the totaling. Faster than I could get the phone out of my pocket, he frantically scratched out the price and wrote in the correct total, apologizing for the "math error". The food was unimpressive.

Lisbon-one of my favorite cities on earth...fantastic food! so I must admit my expectations and standards are higher here than in most other places. came for dinner on recommendation from a local. everything excellent, except the bread was somehow hard/old and the garlic shrimp were slightly over cooked (rubbery). nothing dramatic, but enough to merit one star less (since five stars is perfection). still, very recommended. prices per dish not high, but by the time I was done I clocked up 42€, including starters, water and wine. surprisingly high for Lisbon. (I did double check the bill)

Our first evening, we stopped in because it was near our hotel. We had such a great meal and experience that we went back the next night! The first evening, we had the grilled sea bass and it was fresh, tender and delicious and served with generous portions of vegatables. The next night, I had the grilled cod and it had wonderful flavor. The staff were very helpful and attentive, even though we spoke no Portuguese. They also have a nice selection for dessert, including traditional Portuguese meringue cake, called Molotov cake.
