Food is average to good, service is TERRIBLE though. I went there with my daughter and first of all, they only had a table just next to the WC door while having another empty table next to it being used for their own laptop and a mess of cables all over the place. Customer has to come first than a messy laptop!
After a while (20 min) they moved us to another table in a better location. From there it took them 1 HOUR+ to bring us our food. I could notice that either they don't have a system to wait tables or they just don't follow it or both! Waiters bumping into each other, horrible information flow resulting in a long wait. I definitely would not recommend you going there unless you want to have a bad time and being frustrated

Restaurant at the Oudrgracht wharf, so the location is by definition brilliant, and the terrace is, by the same definition, a bit cramped, but really pleasant, and with a great view. Nice crew here, too- communication preferably in English (or Spanish?). Long list of vegetarian options at the top of the menu, which made me really happy. Wanting to try out as many of those dishes as possible, I ordered the vegetarian tapas plate. This may have been a mistake. After half an hour, a waiter assured me that I had not been forgotten about, and ten more minutes after that, the tapas (four or so) arrived, kind of messily arranged on a small plate, accompanied by some mayonaise- not sure what that was for, and unfortunately nobody appeared to care to explain what was what exactily. I identified a slice of tortilla cake, some potato wedges, olives, fried mushrooms, olives. and a stuffed bell pepper. Great pub food, to be sure. Such a pity that El Borne is not actually a pub, and this meal cost me 20 euros (note that one for one, the tapas here cost about six euros a piece, and as far as I could determine, customers with, apparently, less complicated orders, did not need to wait as long). In conclusion: when other restaurants at the wharf are filled up, you could give this one a go. Mileage may vary though, so bring a good conversation partner. or a book ;-)

Extremely overpriced food!! After we sat down and ordered drink, waitress told us each of us must order more than 3 tapas!! Otherwise the manager will be unhappy. What an excuse! Then she recommended a menu shared by 2 people, which is 25 euro. We took the menu but when we paid the bill, they told us each of us has to pay 25 euro which clearly nobody mentioned beforehand. The worst experience in Utrecht after living here for half a year. Will never go back again!
