I love to come to Sumo. The quality of the food is great (for an all-you-can-eat restaurant). The service is usually quick and the location is very central. There is a lot of space and I never needed a reservation (for 2 persons). I highly recommend this place if you love Japanese food and want to have a nice/relaxed evening.

Great food. It is fixed price and you can order many dishes. The place is huge. The service is great!

We had lunch here. There were barely guests there at that time. I had to wait for my friend who was a bit late. In the meanwhile they did not come once to ask if I wanted any drinks. When my friend came (30 mins later) they still didn't come to us. They were walking around but just didn't come to us. Waited quite a long time and we finally got to call one of the personnel guys in order to get some drinks and have them take the order. They did not come to us until we called them and waving to them. The food was just average. With one of the sushi orders it was totally different than showed on the menu. We thought they gave us the wrong dish but the guy said it was the same. We said it was nothing like on the picture showed on the menu but he kept saying it was definitely the same..... and it didn't taste good at all. There was no filling and just some crushed bread crumbs covering the rice.... At the end we wanted to leave and trying to get attention so we could pay. But even that took for ages as well. Too pity that it was a such bad experience. Would NOT recommend this place! There are better places for sushi!

Huge disappointment! I've been going there for years since they've opened first on their old location on Leidseplein.
Service has dropped in quality tremendously! I've visited today with my husband for lunch and the staff is incredibly rude and unfriendly (last 3 times).
As well quality of food is not what it used to be and as soon as you start your second round, things come in very slowly (15 min) or don't come at all.
Not worth the visit just because I think there are competitors with much better service/quality for equal amount of money.
