Very classy and chic place. The ambiance was great, service top notch. There's a very interesting selection of drinks as well in the Pulitzer bar.

My favorite hotel in Amsterdam. Great location on the canal and excellent service by Dutch standards. Seems livelier in the last year or two. Recommend the hotels canal boat tour.

The location for setting the various sights of Amsterdam is amazing. I could walk everywhere. The staff is very helpful, providing our requests promptly, including an umbrella for the rain. The room is small and tricky to navigate to, but clean and well-kept. The heat is great and we managed to keep warm throughout the night. The shower is *fantastic*! Great water pressure and a wide range of temperatures to suit one's needs. Included breakfast is wonderful and filling, a great start to a day of sight-seeing in Amsterdam!

Lack of follow through for a 5 star hotel. Set up a limo transfer over a month in advance. On departure our car was late and we almost missed our international flight. No apology from hotel after reaching out to them on numerous occasions. Breakfast buffet was the equivalent of a Marriott in the U.S. Not what I was expecting from a 5 star hotel. That old adage of "You get what you pay for" clearly does not apply. As this was the service of a 2-3 star hotel.

Wonderful hotel. Ideally located with a short walk to the major sites. Staff is excellent and attention the detail separates them from other hotels. Wife and I really enjoyed our time there. The canel cruise was much fun.
