Wonderful venue and the act was incredible (Marquis de Hill Blacktet)! Definitely worth getting tickets for if visiting Amsterdam for a few days

The Artists that come through here are what make the place. Also, generally great sound and friendly staff.

Small concert hall hanging on (literally) to the much larger Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdam. Actually, I like it way better than it' s bigger sibling. Whereas the Muziekgebouw comes over as a bit elitist and cold, the Bimhuis has a much more relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Due to it's small size only suitable for small performances, but that also means they become very intimate. Boasts a nice view over part of Amsterdam and a well equipped bar as well. During the last edition of the Cross-Linx festival I spent most of my time there, giving the main performances in the main hall a miss, just because I liked it so much. Recommended!

Very nice location with an attractive programming. The music can be a tad experimental, which can be both a good and a challenging thing, though I always enjoy being there. The bar is cosy and it's a nice crowd which is really there for listening.
