Went there for a lunch buffet for my 2nd Anniversary. The staff were quite friendly. They showed us to our table even though we were a little bit early for the lunch buffet. The spread of food was a bit dissapointing. It ranges from Western, Indian, Indian vegetarian, local soup and noodles, breads, japanese sushi and sashimi and desserts local and western. However, the overall star of the buffet was the Indian food. The rest were mediocre for a restoran in a Sheraton Hotel. The sashimi and sushi were not at all fresh and had an off smell about it.

The western food was cold even though we arrived a bit earlier than the buffet time. Which makes me wonder how long was the food sitting there. The pasta and roast chicken was bland. The only dish that I found was ok in the western side was the mashed potatoes. Even the gravy was either too salty or watery.

The Indian section was quite good. Maybe the chefs were all Indian. The satay and chicken curry was my pick overall. The Naan bread was barely warm even though it was in a steamer.

In the bread section, the best pick was the smoked salmon which had a great smokiness to it. The cheese spread was embarrassing as I have a bigger range of cheeses in my fridge than they had in a buffet.

The Japanese section was probably the worse selection of all. The prawns and crab were ok but the rest of it was all off. Even the side dishes and addons were not fresh.

Lastly, the dessert section has quite a good range. Chocolate fountain till baklava. My personal favorite was the bread pudding. Not too sweet like and just nice. The sweetness came from the custard just the way I like it. The Crème brûlée was overcooked. The mini cakes and cupcakes were also good. The chocolate mousse was also good if you are a fan of dark chocolate. Very rich flavour.

Overall a disappointing lunch buffet. The atmosphere was probably the best thing they had there. It was later ruined however as a group of about 100 over guests (mentioned by the staff) just joined in the buffet. They completely ruined the nice and relaxing atmosphere. Rushing and pushing their way through to be the first to get their food. Even when mentioned by the staff that their seating section was away from the other customers they still ignored the staff and seated where they wanted to. The group of guest were quite loud and disobedient children ran rampant around.

I was expecting so much from this place based on other reviewers but like most places maybe guests aren't so critical. I am sure they're are much better places to have a buffet or even a normal meal which would be cheaper and better tasting. The only people the buffet was meant for in my mind would be for conference guests or hotel guests with no other choice.

Poor food, good atmosphere ruined. The only redeeming quality was the staff politeness but it was also ruined after the big group of conference guests joined the buffet as well. For the price paid. Definitely not worth it. Skip this place if you are planning on having a special occasion here.

Food was mediocre. It's true that there are many selection but none truly stand out. Better pay a bit more & go to Hilton KL or Lemon Garden @ Shangri-La.

Exceptional buffet choices featuring Malay, Indian, Japanese and Western foods. Salad bar is well stocked with different appetizers and dressings. Dessert selection is great too, featuring traditional Malaysian kuih. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
