Although I would have liked to see the offices as well as the basement, the fact that the offices weren't open for visit wasn't in the hands of the people running the museum. This museum is very informative, with guides that aren't afraid to tell the truth without dancing around it. It's a very sad thing that this place will be repurposed, such a big chunk of history, even awful history, should be preserved, if only for a lesson for future generations. Go while you still can, but not for the faint of heart.

You need to get the guided tour for the best experience, but it is only a few Euros. My guide was very knowledgeable and spoke flawless English. Not for the faint hearted - the details are quite gruesome in places, and some of the stories are very sad.

Very interesting tour taking you right inside the old KGB building. Step inside the cells, exercise yard and execution block. Fascinating.

Really interesting real life museum from their time under Soviet rule. Brought to life by the English speaking and passionate guides. There's limited space on the tours and only 3 per day, so make sure you go early to secure a ticket. See photo for timings.
