Beautiful! Walk by the water and catch a great view from the top. Unfortunately didn’t see any monkeys this time!
Would highly recommend checking out the nearby Tenryū-ji Temple garden (500 yen).

Take time to stroll along the river. Old men steering a traditional boat using a long bamboo stick with the background of the monkey forest is quite peaceful. Then go up to the main park, which is simply beautiful.
