Ordered online and didn't receive food for 1.5 hours just to find out after ringing that the driver is not available tonight 😬😬... would have liked to try a new Indian restaurant in Vienna but after that experience wont order again... nor go there in person... cheers and bye bye ...

Been there for the first time after the reopening, and it has been a mixed experience. On the one hand we found the usual place (I worked nearby earlier and went there on a regular basis a few years ago), the menue has changed, where we found the usual dishes but also a few new ones - which we found promising.

When we called to make a reservation as well as later in the restaurant we had to communicate in English (this is the reason I write this review in English - sorry for mistakes ) which is neither good nor bad for us, but might be a problem in Vienna. And: one should know. Also the host was alone at service, but we didn't have to wait too long.

As the restaurant itself was unchanged, yet in a pretty clean state (which was not always the case earlier), also the table cloth was clean and white - we found some heavy chips on some tables and glasses, which definitely left a very poor impression and is a no-go in a serious restaurant.

But for the food this was a surprise: we simply had the best indian food we ever had in Vienna.

We had a Lamb Dhansak, which was simply great, pretty spicy without being uneatable hot, a lot of fresh ginger and green coriander, the lentils soft but still firm, the meat was tasteful and soft, my favourite! My wife favoured the Chicken Korma, also delicious yet totally different, buttery and mild, quite a bit on the cocos-side. As Korma is a pretty standard dish in most indian restaurants, this one was very special and definitive distinguishable from your average "standard curry".

Will we go there again? Yes, definitely! We want to give it a try and explore the menue, hoping that the standard will improve, while the cook will keep it's high level.

So, can we recommend it? Yes, with the things mentioned above to be considered. But we think this could become a little gem for lovers of exotic cuisine and therefore be given a chance.
